“ I got the halfpound burger with cheese and with a side of fried okra, and it was really good. The okra was big compared to what Im used to. The burger was also very big. I also got some gumbo, and Ive never had sausage and shrimp together in gumbo, but it tasted good. Overall, this is a good place to eat. ”

“ What a great find! Great lunch specials. I had the fried flounder got three nice sized pieces with fries in addition to two other sides. They accommodated my request to only use cornmeal on the fish since I cant have the flour mixed with it. Green beans were like my grandmothers the cheese grits had the right consistency. Wish they had a bigger parking lot as I was able to get last one at 1115am. Service was excellent attentive even though they were busy. Great family atmosphere. ”

“ Walked in the door and was greeted right away by staff. We ordered takeout. Tina was fantastic. We asked about the grilled chicken and sides for a dairy intolerant toddler. Tina asked the cooks, and also personally read the ingredients on the products used in the seasoning and cooking of the chicken to make sure. Thank you for going above and beyond! Our food was hot and cooked well. We ordered grilled chicken dinner made dairy free, crab claw dinner, fried pork chop dinner, a very flavorful chicken liver dinner with gravy and onions and flavorful mildly spicy gumbo. As we waited for our order, I watched as Tina interacted with other patrons. She was great with everyone, even admitting to a mistake on her part and apologizing to the customer. The other staff we interacted with very briefly were nice as well. We will definitely be back. Thank you for excellent service! ”
